Why can't Anne draw?

That's just a question I've been asking myself lately. Every time I try, it turns out blahish (made up word). I just spent time looking at my old blog (about three year's worth of stuff with over 800 posts) and I was all enthusiastic about drawing. I think I'm just going through a bit of a dry spell. It will come back. It always does. I found the above drawing while I was going through my posts. We had a lot of fun on that yahoo 360 blog. I had forgotten, jb, that you once paged someone named Boogie for me at the library because I couldn't do it without laughing. How you managed that, I do not know. I, of course, remember Lord Bunyan, but I had completely forgotten about Boogie.

It's raining again and from what I've been hearing this rain is going to wash that heat and humidity right out of the air. I'm very happy about that.

What did I do today, you may be wondering? I'm sure you are. I started it off at the Farmer's Market where I procured much delicious loot, including three large, juicy, red tomatoes and I'm ending it with a bit of blogging. What I did in between is all a bit of blur. I read, I drew (nothing that I was satisfied with) and I made a loaf of french bread. Not a very eventful day, I should say...

Yes indeed, that blog was a lot of fun. I am sorry that mine didn't make the transition, it would be nice to see some of that. What am I boo-hooing about?---I rarely am on the computer these days.

I like this drawing, and I believe your drawing slump will be over soon---it probably doesn't seem like it to anyone but you anyway!

Hey Anne. Sorry to hear of drawing slump and do hope it ends soon. Creativity has a way of coming and going in unexpected and uncontrollable ways. Waiting out the dry spells is perhaps all there is to do. I enjoyed seeing your old drawing and also the fond memories of Yahoo 360 blogging. We did have a lot of fun. Both on the blog and sometimes even at BD! I think we were all most creative at making that blog and work fun and I miss that about BD. The fun and the people : ( I miss Boogie and Lord Bunyan too : )

I remembered too while reading your post that it was you, Anne, who got a lot of us started on blogging with the Yahoo 360 blog and for that I am most thankful to you. I've really enjoyed blogging and---speaking of dry spells---it has been the one place where I have actually written somewhat consistently and even though I don't pay attention to grammar, spelling or sentence structure on the blog--it's a great place to just put thoughts down and have fun. I heart that and I thank you for introducing me to blogging.
